Ideally, you have most or all of these things in your refrigerator or cupboard. If not, the grocery store has them all easily accessible.

  • Gnocchi: You may make your own gnocchi or buy them in the market with normal pasta.

  • Step 1, preheat the oven to 375°F.

  • Step 2: Drain the gnocchi after cooking them according to the package's instructions. Line a baking dish with nonstick spray and spread them out in a single layer.

  • Step 3: In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the garlic and heat until fragrant, approximately 30 seconds.

  • Step 4: Add the flour and whisk until it thickens and begins to boil. After adding the milk and Dijon mustard, whisk continuously for three to five minutes, or until it begins to thicken somewhat.

  • Step 5: Combine the Fontina and Gruyère cheeses. One handful at a time, add them to the milk mixture, stirring until they melt before adding more. Add a dash of salt and white pepper to the sauce once all the cheese has melted.
